Speaking at the Democratic Party of New Mexico’s 2020 Pre-Primary Convention

Welcome to our campaign Medium page!

Over the next six months of this election, this page will be a home for the people, policies, and ideas that drive our movement forward.

November’s election will be unlike any other, but the need for change in Washington has never been more clear. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, my campaign has heard from voters across New Mexico who are fired up and ready to connect with their neighbors online and find new ways to participate in democracy safely.

We’ve also heard countless stories about how New Mexicans have stepped up to help their communities during this challenging time. This is an unprecedented crisis — but you are showing the strength and resilience that has always made it possible for our state to overcome adversity and emerge stronger.

If you have a story about how your community is coming together to fight COVID-19, I’d be honored if you would share it with me. Click here to share your story and we may publish it in a future Medium post.

To officially launch this Medium page, I wanted to share my one minute pitch to voters (like you!) that I filmed for KOB4. I hope you’ll check it out to hear why I’m running for Senate, how we’ll rebuild after the COVID-19 crisis, and how I’ll work to make our New Mexico family stronger than ever.

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of the issues and values my campaign has been talking about from the start. All New Mexicans need fair wages, high-quality health care, and a government that looks out for them — not just big corporations with Washington lobbyists.

As your next Senator, that’s what I’ll be fighting for in Washington. I’m so grateful to have you on my team as we work together to build a brighter future for New Mexico.

Stay safe and well,

Ben Ray
